Nina Simons
(1957-)

Social Entrepreneur, Author
Co-Founder, Bioneers

In 1990, Nina Simons and her husband Kenny Ausubel founded Bioneers, a nonprofit organization that promotes and connects innovative and practical solutions to our most critical global environmental and social issues. In addition to an annual conference that brings together and supports leading scientific and social innovators, Bioneers reaches millions with an award-winning radio and book series and interactive website. Nina is also passionate about developing leadership in women and girls and "restoring the feminine to a balanced place" in society. Since 2006 she has led an intensive five-day 'Cultivating Women's Leadership' workshop to inspire and empower women's capacity to bring about change in their communities.
