Gandhi Peace Prize

Mohandas K. Gandhi

In 1995, in honor of the 125th Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi's birth, the government of India launched the International Gandhi Peace Prize. Each year the prize is awarded to individuals or organizations that have made a contribution towards economic, political and social, transformation through non-violence and other Gandhian methods.
